Hi Every one,
I'm on OPT right now ,i'm done with my masters in DEC 2007.
My visa Stamp in my passport was only untill april 2008(I got F1 stamped only for 24 months), now i'm on OPT extension.I applied H1B in 2008 and got RFE my employer could not answer the RFE and revoked my petition.
I did't apply in 2009 even i have chance to apply(because of the JOB fear ) i got my OPT extension approved ,my OPT extension is going to end in June 2010 , any way i will be applying H1B in 2010.
My question is if i don't get H1B in 2010 ,my plan i to take CPT and search for jobs ,does it effects my future immigration any way.

My first camera was a refurb d80 and there was no way to tell the diff between new or used. I bought a new d300 and love the camera but out of the box it seemed to be in the same great condition as the refurb d80.

No need for exp certificate in applying for H1.
At embassy/consulate, for visa stamping, you should keep it as they may like to verify. It is not mandatory but good to have.

I called the embassy and the staff member told me that I would have to go to the nearby DHL office in LIMA and drop all the documents. And then the embassy would get back wihin 4-10 business days.
This is really dicey for me since the Christams holidays could push this ahead.
So no go.

Hello,
I am on H1, have filed Labor on 10/30/2009 (awaiting decision) and still have 2 months to go before my 6th year of H1 starts.
Now, i have plans for higher studies, but since i am a consultant/contractor and my projects are all over the US, I am planning to go full time (early 2011) either in US or outside.
I checked with a friend if I should go full time in US and he told me that since i have filed Labor, i have shown 'immigration-intent' and therefore my F1/student visa request will be denied, since F1/student visa is a non-immigrant visa.
Now my question to this forum of lawyers is, Is the above true for F1? Also, if it is true and due to that, if i plan to study outside USA and after my studies (which keep me out of US for more than an year) want to come back and work in USA, will my request for an H1 also be denied due to the same 'immigration-intent' i showed in my Labor process earlier, since H1 is again a non-immigrant visa?

I have EAD that is valid till Dec 2007, but I will be on leave of absence overseas from mid Feb to October , 2007. ( my Travel parole also expires in Dec 07)
My I-485 is pending with PD Jul 2002 ( EB3 india)
Will this time off destroy my Green Card application?
( does the EAD lose its validity if I stay overseas for >6 months and will this impact my GC process?)

My 6th year on H1 ends Dec 2007. My PERM LC is pending and the lawyer is confident I won't run into problems. My question is after 6 years on H1 can I switch to H4 since my husband is on H1? Or if 6 years max given for an H visa?

There are two sides to the issue : strengthening the domestic workforce through education, research investment etc and then there is skilled immigration. The first half no doubt enjoys unanimous support ... however, when it comes to promoting skilled immigration, it is a pretty safe bet that the anti-immigrant lobby is going to play hard ball (already evident from the SF gate article). Overcoming this lobby is the whole challenge ..

H-1B through non-profits like Universities does not have a cap. Your only bet would be to find a job through one such an entity and apply for H-1B. Then you can pursue H-1B through any commercial entity during 2008 quota starting from April 2007.

Ajju, Mine & wife's applications for 485/EAD/AP reached Nebraska on 07/25/07 and I have receipt dates of 08/27/07. I'm yet to receive it from my lawyer. Found out the LIN #'s from the back of my encashed check. No finger print notice yet. I do not think every one who filed between 07/17/07 to 08/17/07 will have a receipt date of 07/17/07

For filing of I485, do I need to file for my dependent child who is an US citizen (age :1 year+)? Also does my child need to go through the medical exam and be part of the I485 application even though she is a citizen?

Man I dont know what is the answer to ur question. But I feel very sorry for you and want to appreciate you for keeping your sanity intact till now. I would have joined a lunatic asylum by now if I am in ur position ... I have already started showing some signs just by waiting for my PD to become current.
