Folks
My EAD got approved on July 30th when my PD which is Mar 2005 for EB2 is not current.
USCIS issued the EAD for a year, called them up, they are asking me to send it back along with a fresh application.
Is there a process to get this straightened out? I call the USCIS number and each Rep gives me a different suggestion, one female was saying set up a infopass appt and they will help you out.
My current EAD runs out on Sep 19th and I dont want to mess with my EAD and create problems for myself
Anybody in the same boat?

Hello experts,
Could someone explain to me why is that 61,000 visa recapture exclusively for nurses is not good for EB3 category? To me it will make the EB3 queue smaller (i.e. Current Applications In the EB3 Queue MINUS 61,000). Why this is not good, and why I don't hear any body say so?
* Is this not good because 61,000 visas will be recaptured EXCLUSIVELY for NURSES. This 61,000 quota should have been spread over all categories EB1, EB2, EB3.
* Is this not good because it doesn't help EB2 and EB1?

The maximum duration of a J-1 is 7 years but the visa is issued 1 year at a time (royal pain). Therefore there is nothing such as a transfer. When residency is over, if you get a fellowship the program files with ECFMG the necessary papers to prove that it's an accredited program etc It is ECFMG that sponsors you not your program/hospital. Each year the program informs ECFMG on your progress and based on that a new sponsorship for another year is granted.
After my first fellowship i was board certified. In order to specialize further I (and my new department) had to convince ECFMG that there was some merit in the whole proposal. anyway long story, they did sponsor me and I did another 2 years thus completing the entire 7 year period.
As for GC, my employer just started the process and insisted on choosing an expensive corporate lawyer they have worked with before. She is in no hurry and I don't know when I will even have a priority date let alone a GC. This is after 11 years here. such fun....

I agree with you....You should be able to file the G28 form to get someone else to be yr representative 2 or 4
..
My understanding is that you need to send a Cancel G-28 notice (as a simple letter, or using a G-28 form) to USCIS. Your current attorney does not have to do anything. You hired your attorney, so you can drop him/her anytime and advise USCIS.

Normally in the job ad they specify if they need greencard holder or citizen. If they have not specified and you have job then it is all set. EAD is the document which establish your right to work. so they ask it when you join them. They will take photocopy of it. You need to update them when you renew your EAD.

I dont feel that its a cosmetic change, while I agree that it can lead to some confusion. But there are orgs which have done it succesfully in the past. I thought it might give a better chance for us to give every one an idea abt what we are doing without getting on here or not coming her on to the website thingking "yet another org working for illegals"

People who go to IV will be redirected to LIV. I am not trying to take over and drive in a new direction. As I said, this might not be the exact need of the hour with congress in session. Core members can discuss this when they feel its pertinent.

I wonder if anyone noticed that. I am a July 2nd filer and my priority date is not current and long will not be. But I noticed many many LUDS on my I485 and no change in messages. Has anyone noticed that too?
My LUDS: 9/7, 9/11, 10/3(after FP), 12/10, 12/11, 12/15, 12/18.....
I wonder what is happening....

I was in a similar situation with EAD
I applied for EAD in November 2008, it got Approved (Card Production Ordered etc) but never rec'd the card.
I raised numerous SR's , spoke to IO' etc. (for 9 Months)
Every IO was very sympathetic but they did not know where my card was.
At last in July 2009 , I spoke to an IO and the said that she would follow it up
The next day, I rec'd an email stating that my Card was sent in November 2008 , since I did not receive it , it might have been lost in the email and If I need EAD, I need to re-apply
After this I spoke to an IO again, she said the case closed - Card lost in email - I need to re-apply.
Anyways... I did not re-apply.
In August 2009 I received my EAD card in the mail :)

I want to apply labour with another employer based on future employment and when that labour get approved for how many days it is valid, can i apply I 140 for that labour .

Sigma makes a good macro, as does Tamron and of course Nikon. I would buy the Nikon if I had the largest budget, but the others are not far off, if any different at all, in the quality of images that they can produce. One of the members here speaks highly of his equivalent Sigma macro (except in Canon mount).
With that said, it's a very bad idea to order anything from the site you mentioned. Check ResellerRatings (http://www.resellerratings.com/) to see some feedback before ordering anything from an online dealer. I highly recommend B&H (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/) for new gear and accessories, and KEH for used items. I have ordered from both numerous times, and have always been satisfied.
Edit: as an afterthought, I must add that anyone who tells you that your underexposure is caused by using a 35mm lens on a reduced-frame DSLR is full of "it." The only "disadvantage" of using a 35mm-based lens on most DSLRs is that the image is cropped, so the angle of view is equivalent to a lens on a 35mm camera that is 1.5X longer. There are "digital" lenses (Nikon DX or Canon EF-S) which can not cover a full 35mm frame, and are typically extremely wide (to compensate for the "crop factor" mentioned previously), but any "digitally integrated" or similar lens from Sigma or Tamron is nothing but marketing hype, IMHO.
